What are the three numbers on the Love Line?
The three positions in our method are M → Heart → K. Position matters: the same number in two different places can invite different questions. These labels describe this site's convention; other guides may use different letters or interpretations.

How to find the Love Line on your chart
- Generate a personal Matrix of Destiny chart using your birth date.
- Locate the relationship channel between the lower and right axes.
- Identify the lower-axis endpoint, the heart position, and the relationship–money crossover.
- Read the three values in that order. In the example below, the sequence is 9 → 16 → 7.

Love Line calculation: a complete example
Our calculator reduces a number only when it exceeds 22. Add the digits of an oversized total and repeat if needed: 39 becomes 12, while 18 and 22 remain unchanged. Reduce each intermediate result before calculating the next.
For 9 February 1987, the calculation is:

The Love Line is therefore M → Heart → K = 9 → 16 → 7. L is used to calculate the crossover; it is not one of the three values in this relationship sequence. The individual Heart Arcana is the middle value, 16.
The same birth date always gives the same sequence under this method. Other calculators can differ if they reduce numbers differently or use a different position sequence.
How to read a Love Line without losing the context
Start with the position, then consider the number. Try interpreting the worked example as a set of questions rather than a fixed story about a person.
First position: 9, The Hermit
At the lower-axis position, The Hermit can prompt reflection on how you use time alone. After a disagreement, do you explain that you need an hour to think, or disappear without saying when you will return? The question is whether solitude helps you reconnect or leaves the other person guessing. A 9 does not prove that you withdraw; compare the prompt with your actual behavior.
Heart position: 16, The Tower
At the heart position, The Tower can serve as a prompt to question an assumption about love. For example, you might assume that a caring partner should know what you need without being asked. Try stating that need directly and listening to their response. This use of the symbol concerns honest reassessment; it does not predict a breakup, crisis, or harm.
Crossover: 7, The Chariot
At the practical crossover, The Chariot can prompt a conversation about shared direction. If one person wants to save for a move while the other wants more travel, can you agree on priorities and timing together? Neither person's goal needs to become the automatic plan for both.
Read together, these prompts move from making room to think, to communicating an unspoken need, to agreeing on a practical next step. That is one possible reflective reading of 9 → 16 → 7, not a profile that every person with this sequence must fit.

A love arcana calculator may instead calculate a single tarot birth card. That is another method, even if the interpretation also discusses relationships. Check the formula and chart position before comparing results.
Turn your result into a useful conversation
Choose one position and one recent situation. Describe what happened in ordinary language before adding any symbolic interpretation. Then ask a question you can answer together: “What did each of us need?” or “What agreement would make this easier next time?”
Avoid using a number to tell someone what they must feel. If the symbolism does not fit, set it aside. Trust, communication, and relationship decisions should be based on behavior and real circumstances.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my partner's birth date?
No. A personal Love Line comes from one birth date. A compatibility chart uses two dates and answers a different question about the combined chart.
Can the Love Line predict marriage or a breakup?
No. These symbolic calculations cannot reliably predict relationship events or identify a future partner. No number should be treated as a verdict about your relationship.
What does it mean if a number repeats?
The same arcanum appears at more than one calculated position. You can explore its theme through each position's question, but repetition does not establish a stronger force or a guaranteed outcome.
Is the Love Line the same as the karmic tail?
No. In our method they share the lower-axis value M, but the Love Line continues through Heart and K. The karmic tail uses a different sequence. A shared value does not make the two lines interchangeable.
Does the Love Line change with age or gender?
The personal sequence does not change under this formula because it depends only on your birth date. Age and gender do not change these calculations. Your experiences and the questions you bring to the chart can change.
Why is my result different on another website?
Compare the date format, the reduction rule, and the three positions being displayed. In particular, reducing by digit sum and subtracting 22 are different conventions. Compare methods before interpreting a difference as meaningful.
